Executive Programme in Applied Finance (EPAF)
This programme aims to provide cutting edge knowledge in the frontiers of finance using latest pedagogy to develop brilliant finance minds. The programme is designed to provide training in the techniques and nuances in finance expected of a successful professional in the corporate sector, banks, and financial institutions.
In the present changing and highly competitive business environment, the finance function in an organization has taken the center stage. The treasury division of a business entity can now effectively contribute to its bottom line. The increasing diversity coupled with associated risks in finance functions have led to enhanced demand for qualified and action-driven finance professionals.
The present programme aims to provide cutting edge knowledge in the frontiers of finance using latest pedagogy to develop brilliant finance minds. The programme is designed to provide training in the techniques and nuances in finance expected of a successful professional in the corporate sector, banks, and financial institutions. The programme would be equally relevant for professionals working (or planning to work) as broking/security analyst, consultants, and chartered/cost accountants.
The programme is offered by the Finance & Control Group of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta in educational partnership with Times TSW.
Finance professionals in the corporate sector with minimum two years’ relevant experience, seeking to develop their careers in Corporate Finance will find this programme most useful. Executives in the Banking and Financial Services sectors will find this programme beneficial before taking on specialized responsibilities. Professionals who have just completed their studies in Finance, Commerce or Accountancy, will add recent advanced concepts and application areas to their knowledge-base. The programme would also be relevant for professionals working (or planning to work) as broking/security analyst, consultants, and chartered/cost accountants.
Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 or equivalent) or Diploma holders (10+2+3) or Master’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline with 50% marks,, who would like to build their career in finance. Working experience of minimum two years is required preferably. Students would be selected on the basis of assessment of background and motivation based on the application form submitted.
The program will be delivered online once a week. The class schedule is Wednesday 6.45 PM to 9.45 PM
In addition, there will be a 3-day workshop at IIM Calcutta campus in the first quarter of the programme and a 4 day workshop at the end of the program.
The campus module will be conducted subject to the evolving pandemic situation and will depend on Government and Institute policies related to the same.
Programme fee: Rs. 4,10,000/- + (Applicable Taxes)
Each course will be taught with the help of case studies, live corporate examples and general discussions. In order to provide greater industry insights, business leaders from the different industries may be invited to share their experiences.
