In the clutter of awards and recognitions, the honour that stands out prominently is the one meted out by your alma mater. It was no different for Bombay Stock Exchange CEO Ashish Chauhan. He received IIM Calcutta’s highest honour, the distinguished alumnus award at a function in November.

About Sriram Subramanian, 31st batch (1994 - 1996)

Sriram Subramanian is an Engineer from IIT Roorkee and an MBA from IIM Calcutta (PGP 31 – 1996). After a decade working in management consulting and corporate, Sriram founded Mind Matters in 2006, which is today one of India’s leading corporate training firms.

Sriram’s writing pursuits started at the age of six, when his mum, an English Professor, made him read random passages from serious sounding texts, count the number of words, and write précis requiring 50% word compression. He wrote her letters each week, faithfully; she marked them for grammar, punctuation, spelling and sentence construction in red ink.
